SeekTeachers is currently looking for an enthusiastic and dynamic Upper Primary teacher for our client in Malaysia. The successful candidate will be teaching as a classroom teacher for Year 6 students and commencing in January 2016.
 
This is one of the popular international schools in the city located only 20 minutes from the Kuala Lumpur international airport and 15 minutes from the Formula 1 racing track. The school has a purpose-built campus on a large piece of land and it is designed to support and promote the highest educational experience. The well-equipped facilities include air conditioned classrooms, interactive whiteboard (IWB), libraries, science labs, ICT labs, high speed internet connection across the campus, tennis courts, basketball courts, football fields, indoor swimming pool, cafeteria, medical room and prayer room.
 
This school follows UK national curriculum from Year 1 to Year 11 for students ageing between 3-16 years old.

The number of students in this school is 400 comprised of 10% expatriate students and 90% local Malaysian students. There are more than 40 staff in the school mixed with 80% expatriates and 20% non-expatriates.

The school has a very professional and respectful British Head Teacher, also most of the expatriate teachers are UK trained and English native speaker.  Continuing professional training is provided to ensure staff success and promotion of high quality of learning.

*Integrating formative and summative assessment into weekly and termly planning
*Maintain classroom discipline and work accordance with school policy
*Communicate with parents and ensure they aware of their child’s progress and development
*Participate in school/parents’ meetings
*Participate in CPD workshop activities
*Flexible and adaptable to new culture

Minimum Application Requirements

Qualification:
Minimum Qualification Requirement: M.Ed, B.Ed or a relevant Bachelor's Degree with a Teaching Qualification
Experience:
2 Years

Must be western trained (USA, Canada, UK, Scotland, Ireland, Australia, New Zealand & South Africa)
Must be a native speaker of English
Prefer candidates with international experience
Teachers with a degree but no teaching qualification are NOT accepted
Experienced teachers with no qualification are NOT accepted
Non-western trained teachers who have worked in an international educational institute before are NOT accepted

Remuneration Package

Salary Range:
A salary from 7,000 up to 9,000  MYR (Malaysian Ringgit) per month based on experience and qualification, 10-25 % Tax is applied

Housing allowance of RM1,000  MYR (Malaysian Ringgit) provided
