Pre-school Principal | Teaching job in Vietnam | Competitive salary package
SeekTeachers is hiring for a pre-school principal to be based in Vietnam. This international pre-school is part of an established educational organisation in Asia offers an academically rigorous education where children are encouraged to become critical thinkers and lifelong learners through an international, inquiry based programme.
This established pre-school is recruiting for a pre-school principal to join them in Vietnam this August. The apply for the position, you must have the following:
- Masters or Bachelor degree in Early Childhood Education
- Minimum of 6 years leadership experience in an international pre-school
- Prior experience in an administrative or curriculum leadership role
- Extensive experience in leading, developing and/or teaching an inquiry play based early childhood curriculum
- Experience working in an IB Primary Years Programme accredited school would have an added advantage
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- International teaching experience is beneficial
Duties and responsibilities:
- Responsible for drawing up long term planning following the curriculum and sessional plans which ensure that each child is working towards learning goals
- Ensure current government guidelines and legislation including duties to safeguard and promote the welfare of children, are adhered to
- Responsible for providing high quality experiences and opportunities, ensuring that staff are properly deployed and offer appropriate stimulation and support to the children
- Liaise closely with parents/carers, informing about them the pre-school and its curriculum, teaching methods and practices
- Manage administrative duties associated with the role
- Attend in service training and meetings as required
- To run staff meetings
- Ensure records are properly maintained e.g daily attendance register, accident and incident book
- Ensure the pre-school is a safe environment to children, that equipment is safe, standards of hygiene are high, safety procedures are implemented at all times
- Ensure special needs of children are known
