A prestigious International Baccalaureate (IB) school in Beijing is hiring a positive and energetic IBPYP Coordinator to join their successful team. If you are qualified and IB trained educator and want to teach in Far East, this is an excellent opportunity to start your international career.
 
This private international school has an excellent modern campus located on the outskirts of Beijing city, which provide a clean and quiet learning environment for students. There are 900 students aged 3-18 enrolled to the school in 2012-2013 composed of 60% expatriate students and 40% non-expatriate students. There are also 100 staff mixed of 90% composed of expatriates and 10% non-expatriates.
 
Job description
*To coordinate all IB PYP activities of the school
*To ensure that the school meets all IBO regulations and deadlines
*To maintain communication with the Head of School, Principal , administration, department an parents regarding information about the program
*To attend all relevant meetings
*To ensure regular monitoring of students’ progress in the IB subjects and record their progress
*To monitor assessment and reporting in cooperation with primary coordinators
*To support teachers in the development of assessment tools in line with school’s policy on assessment
*To attend workshops and conferences if necessary
*To mentor and model good inquiry practice in the classrooms
*To maintain communication with staff especially in relation to curriculum matters
*To provide IB PYP training for staff members.

Minimum Application Requirements

Qualification:
Minimum Qualification Requirement: M.Ed, B.Ed or a relevant Bachelor's Degree with a Teaching Qualification
Experience:
5 Years
Type of Staff:
Male or Female can apply to this job
Must be western trained (USA, Canada, UK, Scotland, Ireland, Australia, New Zealand & South Africa)
Must be a native speaker of English
Prefer candidates with international experience
Teachers with a degree but no teaching qualification are NOT accepted
Experienced teachers with no qualification are NOT accepted
Non-western trained teachers who have worked in an international educational institute before are NOT accepted

Remuneration Package

Salary Range:
A salary from 23,000 up to 30,000  CNY (Chinese Yuan Renminbi) per month based on experience and qualification, 10-25 % Tax is applied
Housing:
1 bedroom  fully furnished Housing provided
Medical:
State/Public medical provided
Flights:
10,000RMB CNY (Chinese Yuan Renminbi) Allowance is provided
Bereavement Leave:
Bereavement leave given
Emergency Evacuation:
