Teacher of Kindergarten | Teach in Singapore | January 2015 start
Our client is now recruiting a highly experience and energetic individual for the role as a Kindergarten PYP teacher. The successful candidates have to meet the following requirements:
**Bachelor degree in Early Years or relevant subject
**Minimum 3 years of teaching experience in Early Childhood
**PYP experience is desirable
**English native speaker
**International experience is advantageous
This is a fully authorised International Baccalaureate (IB) world school which offers Primary Years Programmes (PYP) for students from kindergarten to Year 6. The school has 200 students composed of 30% expatriate students and 70% non-expatriate students. There are more than 50 staff in the school mixed with 80% composed of expatriates and 20% non-expatriates.
Duties and responsibilities:
- Understand PYP and the developmental needs of primary students
- Strong ability to measure the essential elements of the PYP using a range of assessment strategies
- Understand different approaches to different level students
- Actively engaged in curriculum development
- Strong ability to manage students’ behaviour in class
- Maintain health and safety of all students during all activities
- Supervise and assist all students to reach their level
- Communicate effectively with parents and make sure they aware of their child learning development
- Participate in parents and school meetings
- Participate in professional development activities ie IB workshop
