A leading American international school in Dubai is seeking an outstanding Secondary Mathematics Teacher to join its successful and forward-thinking Secondary team from August 2026.
This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate educator to teach within a high-achieving international environment that values academic excellence, innovation, and student-centred learning. The school delivers a rigorous American curriculum and is looking for candidates with strong experience in US Common Core Mathematics and Advanced Placement (AP) programmes.
The successful candidate will inspire students to become confident mathematical thinkers, problem solvers, and independent learners while contributing to a collaborative and ambitious school culture.
The Role
The Secondary Mathematics Teacher will deliver engaging and challenging lessons across the Secondary phase, supporting students in achieving high academic standards and developing strong analytical and critical-thinking skills.
Key responsibilities include:
*Teaching Secondary Mathematics within an American curriculum framework
*Delivering instruction aligned with US Common Core Standards
*Teaching AP Mathematics courses where appropriate
*Creating engaging and differentiated learning experiences
*Using assessment data effectively to support student progress and attainment
*Encouraging inquiry, problem solving, and real-world application of mathematics
*Contributing to curriculum planning and departmental development
*Participating actively in the wider school community and extracurricular activities
The ideal candidate will have:
- A recognised teaching qualification and relevant degree in Mathematics or a related subject
- Experience teaching Secondary Mathematics within an American curriculum school
- Strong knowledge of US Common Core Mathematics Standards
- AP Mathematics teaching experience highly desirable
- Excellent classroom management and communication skills
- A collaborative and student-focused teaching approach
- Experience in international school environments preferred
- A commitment to academic excellence and continuous professional growth
