PYP Coordinator (bilingual speaker)

SeekTeachers is urgently seeking an experienced and qualified bilingual PYP Coordinator to join our client in Wuhan this August.
Our client is a newly established K-12 International school (opened in 2022) with a brand new school campus laid out on 28 acres of prime land beside the famous Yangtze River. The school site has a capacity of 4000 students where they can also enjoy a state-of-the-art facilities including Olympic-sized swimming pool, athletics tracks, multi-purpose sports building, a dedicated performing and Visual Arts Centre, Auditorium and Lecture Theatres. The school pride itself in creating world-class accomodation facilities that will be used to full effect to ensure every boarder receives a meaningful holistic education.
The school is currently looking for an experienced PYP Coordinator to join the founding team to start in August 2026.
Duties and responsibilities:
- Ensuring the creativity and high quality of teaching and learning of the class, assisted by a teaching assistant.
- Organising the work of the teaching assistant.
- Sharing responsibilities for curriculum development, display, performances, trips and organising some aspects of special events.
- Fostering a caring atmosphere and showing commitment to the well-being and social and academic progress of each pupil.
- Acting in accordance with relevant legislation in China, particularly with regards to educational provision, health and safety initiatives and safeguarding and ensure that all students and staff maintain these standards.
Requirements to apply:
*University degree and a recognised qualification (such as PGCE or Secondary Education) with a major in Primary Education
*High command of English level
*Intermediate Mandarin level
*Minimum of 5 years of teaching experience in Primary Years education, ideally with experience in an international educational setting
*Experience in teaching second language learners
Strong knowledge and/or experience and/or enthusiasm to teach in the IBPYP curriculum framework
*Curriculum development knowledge
*Be inter-culturally aware with well-developed interpersonal skills
*Be committed to ensuring high standards of teaching and learning
*Be collaborative and able to work as part of a team
