Position Overview:
The school is seeking a dynamic, passionate, and experienced educator to lead their Primary School. As Head of Primary, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of the school, ensuring that their students receive the highest quality education in a supportive and progressive environment. You will be an inspirational leader with a vision for the growth and development of their primary-aged pupils, ensuring that they are prepared for success both academically and as global citizens.
Key Responsibilities:
* Leadership and Management: Lead and manage the Primary School, ensuring high standards of teaching and learning, student well-being, and staff development.
* Curriculum Development: Oversee the delivery of the British curriculum and work closely with subject leaders to ensure that it is adapted to meet the needs of our diverse student body.
* Student Progress and Well-being: Ensure a strong focus on individual student progress, welfare, and pastoral care, promoting an inclusive and supportive school culture.
* Staff Development: Lead, mentor, and support a team of highly motivated teachers and staff, fostering a culture of continuous professional development.
* Parental and Community Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with parents, stakeholders, and the wider community to ensure collaboration and shared goals for student success.
* Strategic Vision: Contribute to the strategic vision and long-term development of the school, working closely with the Senior Leadership Team (SLT) to implement key initiatives and drive improvements.
Ideal Candidate:
- Proven experience as a senior leader within a primary school setting, ideally within a British or international school environment.
- A strong understanding of the British curriculum, assessment practices, and primary education pedagogy.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with a genuine passion for empowering students and staff.
- A commitment to fostering an inclusive school environment that celebrates diversity and promotes a strong sense of community.
- A strategic thinker with a track record of driving educational excellence and continuous improvement.
- A strong commitment to professional development and staying abreast of the latest educational trends and research.
Requirements:
- A recognised teaching qualification (QTS or equivalent).
- Substantial leadership experience within a primary school setting.
- Experience working in an international or bilingual educational environment is highly desirable.
- Fluency in English; proficiency in Mandarin is a plus but not essential.
