About the School
Now in their sixth year, our client is a flourishing British international school located just outside Seoul, South Korea. The school offers a broad and enriching education based on the English National Curriculum, with a strong commitment to creativity, global citizenship, and holistic development.
 
As the school continues to expand, they are seeking a dynamic and versatile Music & Performing Arts Teacher to lead and grow our performing arts provision across both the Primary and Middle School phases. This role includes occasional general primary teaching, particularly during collaborative projects or to support cover needs.
 
The Role
The school is looking for an enthusiastic, imaginative, and committed teacher with a passion for music and the performing arts. The successful candidate will inspire students from Key Stage 1 through to Key Stage 3, delivering a high-quality curriculum that supports creativity, confidence and performance skills.
 
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging Music and Performing Arts lessons to students across Primary and Middle School (Years 1–8).
- Organise and lead musical and theatrical performances throughout the school year (assemblies, concerts, productions).
- Contribute to the development of a cohesive performing arts curriculum.
- Support students of varying musical abilities and provide enrichment opportunities, including extracurricular clubs and rehearsals.
- Collaborate with teaching staff across departments and participate in whole-school events.
- Occasionally support general primary class teaching as needed.
 
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
- A recognised teaching qualification (e.g. PGCE) with QTS.
- Relevant teaching experience in Music and/or Performing Arts, ideally across a range of age groups.
- Strong piano/keyboard skills and the ability to lead singing and ensemble work.
- A commitment to inclusive and creative teaching practices.
- Experience or enthusiasm for school productions and extracurricular activities.
- Flexibility and willingness to support the wider school community, including occasional cover in primary classrooms.

Minimum Application Requirements

Qualification:
Minimum Qualification Requirement: M.Ed, B.Ed or a relevant Bachelor's Degree with a Teaching Qualification

Must be western trained (USA, Canada, UK, Scotland, Ireland, Australia, New Zealand & South Africa)
Must be a native speaker of English
Prefer candidates with international experience
Teachers with a degree but no teaching qualification are NOT accepted
Experienced teachers with no qualification are NOT accepted
Non-western trained teachers who have worked in an international educational institute before are NOT accepted

Remuneration Package

Salary Range:
A salary   KRW (Korean Won) per month based on experience and qualification, 19% Tax is applied
