We are recruiting a passionate and experienced Careers Counsellor on behalf of a leading international school in the UAE. The successful candidate will support students in identifying their strengths, planning their futures, and preparing for university or career pathways. This role is ideal for someone who is student-focused, organized, and knowledgeable about international higher education systems.
Provide individual and group counselling sessions to support students with career exploration and planning
Guide students through university applications (e.g., UCAS, Common App, OUAC), scholarship options, and admission requirements
Organize career days, university fairs, guest speakers, and internship opportunities
Advise on subject choices in relation to post-secondary pathways (IB/IGCSE/US curriculum knowledge preferred)
Maintain up-to-date records of student meetings, university applications, and placement outcomes
Build strong relationships with international universities and institutions
Provide support to parents regarding university admissions timelines and options
Collaborate with academic staff and leadership on curriculum planning and student support
Bachelor’s degree (Education, Psychology, or related field); a postgraduate qualification in Counselling or Career Guidance is preferred
3+ years of experience in a similar counselling role within an international or secondary school setting
Strong understanding of global university admissions processes (UK, US, Canada, Europe, etc.)
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Ability to inspire and support students from diverse backgrounds
Fluency in English (spoken and written); Arabic or other languages are a plus
Based in the UAE or willing to relocate
Up to AED 15,000/month (tax-free)
