We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Head of English Department to lead our English faculty. The ideal candidate will have a passion for literature and language, strong leadership abilities, and a thorough understanding of the American curriculum (Common Core preferred).
✅ Lead, support, and evaluate English teaching staff
✅ Oversee curriculum development and implementation
✅ Ensure alignment with Common Core and school goals
✅ Analyze data to improve student performance
✅ Promote collaborative planning and professional development
✅ Teach a reduced load of high school English classes
✅ Communicate effectively with school leadership and parents
✅ Bachelor’s degree in English (Master’s preferred)
✅ Valid U.S. teaching license or equivalent
✅ Minimum 5 years of teaching experience (American or international setting)
✅ At least 2 years of departmental or academic leadership
✅ Strong knowledge of U.S. curriculum and assessment practices
✅ Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills
✅ International school or multicultural experience preferred
