An expanding international school in Shenzhen is urgently seeking experienced Physics teacher to join them in August 2024. The international school offers a all-round education with a wide-ranging curriculum blending with the co-curriculum in a long and full school day. The state-of-the-art campus buildings and landscaping are designed with this in mind and the house and tutor system add a special level of care for all students.
The international school is looking for teachers with modern outlooks, creative approaches, willing to develop and show initiative, but also to work as a team; they must be professional at all times and dedicated to the children they teach and the school they work in.
Teachers at the school have threefold responsibilities: academic, co-curricular and pastoral and all teachers have shared responsibility for smooth daily running of the School as an entity - and for maintaining the general ethos, routine and pedagogy in line with the School's Aims and Ethos - as directed within reason by the Heads/Principal.
Requirements to apply:
- A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field
- UK QTS or an equivalent teaching qualification
- Experience teaching 16-18yr olds (IB, A level or other equivalent)
- Ability to work as part of a team of multinational staff
- Must have efficient organisational and IT skills.
Duties and responsibilities:

To teach the physics curriculum as directed by the Lead Teacher of Physics and the Head of Science:

teaching IGCSE science, mainly physics
-
teaching AS Level physics (from 2024)

helping to prepare scientists for university entry

monitoring behaviour and ensuring an atmosphere of mutual respect in the class
-
monitoring pupil progress and assessing work
-
writing reports and meeting parents as required
-
ensuring that the class attendance register is accurately and efficiently kept

supervising play and lunch sessions as directed
