Key Responsibilities:
- Develop captivating lesson plans aligned with curriculum objectives to deliver effective English language instruction.
- Create a supportive classroom atmosphere that encourages active learning and student engagement.
- Employ interactive teaching techniques such as group work, discussions, debates, and multimedia resources.
- Provide individualized attention and support to meet the diverse needs of your students.
- Regularly assess student progress through assignments, tests, projects, and presentations.
- Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum planning activities and professional development initiatives.
- Effectively communicate with parents/guardians regarding student performance or concerns.
- Actively participate in staff meetings, professional development sessions, and school events.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Education or related field (Master's degree preferred).
- TEFL/TESOL certification or equivalent qualification (CELTA/DELTA preferred).
- Proven experience teaching English as a second language at the high school level.
- Strong knowledge of English grammar rules and principles of language acquisition.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with high school students, parents/guardians, and colleagues.
- Cultural sensitivity combined with an understanding of Chinese culture is highly desirable.
