Make a difference teaching Math, Science, and other holistic subjects for three loving, very talented gifted kids, doing grade 2-8 activities. Prior experience with competitive academics, innovative curriculum etc helpful. Able to teach Math up to Pre-Calculus, Science (Biology, Chemistry, Physics in an interactive manner).
Looking for a dynamic, progressive, tech-savvy home-school based teacher for three gifted elementary school level children. In general the approach has been experiential, holistic, integrated, and often experiment or game based. Adapt to each child's special aptitudes and style of learning. Their home curriculum is currently supplemented with music, chess, martial arts and dance. All three kids are generally 2-5 years ahead of “grade-level” in most areas, but have been raised as fun-loving island “worldschool” kids.
Kids are multi-ethnic (South Asian/East Asian/European) and being raised as expats. Dad is a retired physician/author raised in the USA. Current winter residence is in the
Philippines, Boracay — with frequent travel to other parts of Asia, Europe and the Americas.
Minimum Requirements:
**A teaching degree is preferred but not required
(Preferably a BA Degree in Maths/Science or a Relevant subject with a valid teaching qualification OR A degree in Primary Years Education, Child Dev, etc.)
**Ideally work experience in an International School or tutoring kids of expat families, or work abroad.
**Live out (although this will be a daytime role), willing and enjoys travel
**Flexible, creative, energetic, honest, responsible, easy going, proven high intelligence
**Able to adjust to a foreign teaching environment
**Resume and References
**Tech-savvy
Additional Requirements:
**Preferably Elementary or Middle school education background or strong aptitude/interest in Maths & Science
**Ideally energized by high aptitude kids and non-traditional educational methods (problem based, Maker movement, coaching academic competitions, etc )
**Excellent communication skills and flexible to adapt to a new culture
**Up to date with modern teaching & technology
**A fun, loving, proactive, bright/creative individual who loves teaching bright young kids
**Keeps the kids engaged in playful educational activities and Implement a hybrid curriculum (print, online, experience based, etc.)
**At least one full-time live-in helper/assistant teacher and a professional teacher are also part of the team, and responsible for chores, supervising kids while on assignments, etc.
Salary Package:
**Competitive Monthly Salary range depending on experience, travel flexibility etc.for a full-time position plus great employer funded travel experience

**Position is long-term (ie 1-2+ years ideally, but we will consider shorter term candidates.

**Ideally candidate will have at least some prior travel experience.
