Head of Primary needed for a bilingual school in Al Ain, UAE!
SeekTeachers is currently looking for an experienced Head of Primary to join our client in September 2018. This is an established K-12 located in Al Ain, UAE.
Our client is a fully authorised IB World School in Al Ain and offers the IBPYP, MYP and DP programme to children from aged 3 to 18 year old. The school program offers enriched opportunities for creative thinkers through the integration of technology in learning activities and through the careful planning for the development and integration of innovative ideas in the field of Science, Arts, Arabic, Math and English.
Minimum requirements:
**Bachelor degree and above in Primary Education
**Recognised teaching qualification
**Hold or working towards leadership certification
**Experience in a leadership role
**International Baccalaureate PYP experience is desirable
**Experience in a pastoral role or managing AEN is desirable
Duties and responsibilities:
**Member of the Primary Leadership Team, actively contributing to the strategic planning and development of the School for the future
**Lead on curriculum development and innovation
**Actively promote and be responsible for pupil achievement
**Be a class teacher role model for colleagues, demonstrating and articulating high expectations, high standards of pupil achievement, classroom management and organisation
**Lead a strategic curriculum team consisting of staff from across the school – leading, coordinating and managing their work, which will be directly related to priorities identified in the School Development Plan, promoting and facilitating distributed leadership within this
**To share responsibility for the performance management of staff
**Supporting the collation, analysis and use of assessment data for the tracking of student progress, in conjunction with the Head of Primary and Primary Academic Lead
