SeekTeachers is looking to appoint an experienced and professional STEM Coordinator to join our established client in China.
Minimum requirements:
**Bachelor degree or above in a STEM discipline or in science education
**Minimum of 5 years teaching experience in STEM and experience as a HoD/coordinator
**International teaching/working experience preferred
**Familiarity with academic STEM research approaches and methodologies.
**Experience with statistical software (SPSS, R, STATA, JMP, etc.)
**Excellent team player, great communication skills and strong sense of responsibility
Our client is a non-profit private school based in the cosmopolitan Shanghai offering a unique Chinese-English bilingual education program to students from aged 5 to 18. The secondary campus has over 800 children at present and located approximately 40 mins away from downtown.
The school is looking for candidate that will bring enthusiasm and creativity to the role, open to learning about new culture and flexible.
Responsibilities:
**To teach Science, to develop high quality STEM provision and to provide teachers and others involved in secondary STEM education with the high quality support.
**To set high expectations for standards of Teaching and Learning and model good practice
**To develop and deliver STEM activities to school which are engaging and entertaining
**To ensure the consistent application of Teaching and Learning Strategies that meet the needs of all learners across all subjects in the curriculum area
**To ensure the coherent development of Schemes of Work within Department that highlight the STEM curriculum
**To develop, co-ordinate, monitor and evaluate Department implementation of whole-school key cross-curricular strands
** To monitor student attendance together with pupils' progress and performance in relation to Targets set for each individual; ensuring that follow-up procedures are adhered to and that appropriate action is taken where necessary
**To develop schemes of work and support materials to aid effective planning of and progression in learning for all STEM subject areas
**To undertake risk assessments for all STEM activities prior to their delivery

Remuneration Package
Salary Range:
A salary from 35,000 up to 45,000
CNY (Chinese Yuan Renminbi) per month
based on experience and qualification,
10-25 % Tax is applied
