Economics Teacher needed in Portugal in an EXCELLENT school

Our client is one of the leading schools in Portugal and has an excellent Principal who is highly versed in the international education field. We are seeking a teacher of Economics who can deliver up to A level or a teacher with IB DP experience. The school has been offering the finest education in the area since the early 1930 and offers the UK curriculum along with the Portuguese and the and the IB curriculum.
It has excellent academic results and so we are after a strong teacher of Economics to join the team from August 2015.
Requirements to apply:
**Have a degree in Economics
**A PGCE in economics or a valid teaching qualification in the subject
**At least 2 years teaching experience to high school
**Western trained
**Excellent communicator and command of written and spoken English
**Candidates from the EU preferred
The school has excellent facilities with over 1000 students from over 40 different countries with students aged 3-16. The school is accredited by Council of International School and the New England Association of Schools and Colleges. In addition to this it is also an IB Authorised school and is a member of the Council for British International Schools. There is a department of 3 candidates in Economics and so only 1 position is being refilled.
Salary Package
**Up to 65,000 Euro per month gross (there is roughly 35-40% tax in Portugal)
**Rent allowance of 725 Euro per month for single teachers and 860 for married couples
**A baggage allowance of 200 Euro for single teachers and 500 Euro for family
**A lunch allowance of 70 Euro for 11 months of the year
**Air ticket from London to Portugal for employee, spouse and children below 18 years of age
**Health insurance is paid 85% by the school. Staff pay 10 Euro per month
**Hotel accommodation provided for 4 days on arrival and assistance given in finding a place to live
**Tuition for 2 children provided but will need approval from the board
**A 2 year contract which can be renewed
The school also has a Moodle VLE and so experience of using such a platform and being competent in using ICT is beneficial as the school promotes the use of technology in the classroom.
As a teacher of Economics you may be required to also deliver some Business Studies but the main focus will be Economics.
