On behalf of our client SeekTeachers are currently looking for qualified and experienced Head of science department. All candidates applying should have the below qualifications in order to meet the standards set by the school:
 
MUST be western qualified
MUST be a fully qualified teacher
MUST have a Bachelors in line with sciences
Should have experience of the American Curriculum
Minimum of 2 years’ experience of working in management
Experience of working in the Middle East previously would be highly preferred
 
The school is growing at the moment and so far has a stable reputation in Doha, Qatar. The school was established around 7 years ago and has shown recent results to grow there organisation to become a leading educational group.
 
At the moment the school has approximately 300 students and growing. Majority of the students are local Qatari but there is also a small amount of international students from a number of countries worldwide.
 
HOD Science Duties:
**Good communication and language skills subject to multiple nationalities
**Setting homework, assignments and examinations to ensure the students progression
**Great IT skills as you will be using interactive whiteboards and other technologies
**A clear understanding of the curriculum
**Ability to build rapport with children and parents
**Feedback and guidance on student’s abilities and performance
**Be patient and dynamic with students understanding as their native language may not be English
**Be versatile to mix the student’s abilities and follow up their progress every step of the way

Qualification:
Minimum Qualification Requirement: M.Ed, B.Ed or a relevant Bachelor's Degree with a Teaching Qualification
Experience:
2 Years

Must be western trained (USA, Canada, UK, Scotland, Ireland, Australia, New Zealand & South Africa)
Must be a native speaker of English
Prefer candidates with international experience
Additional:
**Your degree should ideally be in line with your teaching subject
**Singles or teaching couples preferred with no children

Remuneration Package

Salary Range:
A salary from 12000 up to 16000  QAR (Qatar Riyal) per month based on experience and qualification, TAX FREE
