The successful candidate will:
*Teach Design Technology and AI across K–8 (Primary and Middle School)
*Develop a progressive, skills-based curriculum from foundational design principles to applied computational thinking
*Deliver engaging projects in areas such as:
*Product design and prototyping
*Robotics and physical computing
*Coding and app development
*3D modelling and digital fabrication
*Introduction to artificial intelligence and machine learning concepts
*Embed design thinking and ethical technology use
*Create a vibrant, well-managed maker space environment
*Lead innovation challenges, competitions, and STEM/STEAM initiatives
*Collaborate with colleagues to integrate technology across the curriculum
We are looking for someone who:
- Holds a recognised teaching qualification
- Has experience teaching both Primary and Middle School students
- Has a background in Design Technology, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field
- Is confident teaching coding and foundational AI concepts in age-appropriate ways
- Understands progression from hands-on primary exploration to structured middle school design projects
- Is organised, safety-conscious, and confident managing practical workshop environments
- Is passionate about preparing students for a technology-driven future
- Experience with robotics platforms, 3D printers, laser cutters, microcontrollers, or AI tools is highly desirable.
