📚 The Role

As an IB MYP Individuals and Societies Teacher, you will:

  • Deliver engaging, inquiry-based lessons covering History, Geography, Economics, and Social Studies within the IB MYP framework
  • Inspire critical thinking, global awareness, and ethical understanding in students
  • Plan and implement assessments and projects aligned with IB MYP standards
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the humanities curriculum and contribute to whole-school initiatives
  • Foster a positive, inclusive, and student-centred learning environment

🎓 Candidate Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in History, Geography, Social Sciences, or related field
  • Recognised teaching qualification (PGCE, B.Ed, QTS, or equivalent)
  • Minimum 2 years teaching experience preferred
  • Experience teaching IB MYP Individuals and Societies highly desirable
  • Strong classroom management skills and ability to motivate students
  • Commitment to inquiry-based learning and student development

Qualification:
Minimum Qualification Requirement: M.Ed, B.Ed or a relevant Bachelor's Degree with a Teaching Qualification

Must be western trained (USA, Canada, UK, Scotland, Ireland, Australia, New Zealand & South Africa)
Must be a native speaker of English
Newly Qualified Teachers are NOT considered
Prefer candidates with international experience
Open University qualification(s) are NOT accepted
Experienced teachers with no qualification are NOT accepted

Remuneration Package

Salary Range:
A salary from 2000 up to 4000  USD (U.S. Dollar) per month based on experience and qualification, TAX FREE
Housing:
Based on application  fully furnished Housing provided
Medical:
State/Public medical provided
Flights:
Flight(s) provided annual flights are provided for the teacher
Bereavement Leave:
Bereavement leave given
Emergency Evacuation:
Emergency evacuation given
Gratuity Amount:
Gratuity Amount of the end of service bonus pay is 3 weeks per annum completed and paid at the end of the contract is provided
