Principal Job in India - August 2024 start
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced educator to lead an American curriculum K-12 school in Hyderabad, India. As Principal, you will be responsible for the overall leadership and management of the school.
Responsibilities:

Provide visionary leadership and direction for the school in alignment with its mission and educational philosophy

Oversee all aspects of school operations including academics, faculty, extracurricular activities, admissions, finance, facilities etc.

Recruit, mentor, evaluate and develop an outstanding faculty and staff
-
Maintain positive relationships with students, parents, faculty, staff and the board
-
Ensure the school follows American curriculum standards and requirements
-
Foster a positive school culture that promotes excellence, inclusion and innovation
-
Lead strategic planning to set and achieve short and long-term goals
-
Ensure the school is compliant with all local laws, regulations and requirements
-
Represent the school positively with all external stakeholders
Requirements:
-
Master's degree in Education Administration or relevant field
-
7+ years experience as a principal or senior administrator at an international school
-
In-depth knowledge of American curriculum and pedagogy
-
Experience leading a diverse school community
-
Strong communication, interpersonal and leadership skills
-
Passionate about education and students' growth and success
-
Must be western trained (USA, Canada, UK, Australia) with working experience of IB School.

Must be a native speaker of English. Prefer candidates with international experience. Especially IB Schools in India
-
A western passport and have English as your first spoken language.

A teaching qualification such as a B.Ed/Dip Ed/Dip Teaching/PGCE.

Lead teacher Experience.
-
Experience in Managing/Teaching International British Curriculum / English National Curriculum.

Experience with thematic curriculum is an asset.

Line management of teaching/assistant staff from different nationalities and cultures.

Working in new schools with moderate resources (the school is in its 7th year operating).

Working in different school cultures and settings.

3-7 years of management experience.
Salary Package:
Length of Contract - 3 yrs and can be extended on mutual consent
