Whole School Principal need in China - APPLY NOW!
 
Our client is a leading organisation located in China and is setting up a NEW Campus in Guangzhou.  The school will start as a KG to Middle School delivering the IB curriculum. 
 
The school promotes a holistic teaching environment to nurture student’s development to become global citizens of the world.  This school is part of a large group of established schools and so I am seeking a STRONG Leader that ideally has experience of managing a school in Asia. 
 
The school will be looking to enroll over 1500 students and will eventually become a fully K-12 international school for students aged 2-18 years of aged. This campus is due to open AUGUST 2020, but my client is looking for someone to join by February 2019 or no later than June 2019.
 
Requirements to Apply
**Have a bachelor’s degree in Education or a bachelor’s degree with a valid teaching qualification
**A Master’s in education/NPQH or equivalent 
**Experience of the IB Curriculum is HIGHLY PREFERRED and DESIRABLE
**Experience of the UK Curriculum/IGCSE is HIGHLY DESIRABLE
**Experience of working in an International School setting, ideally in Asian
**Have at least 25 year’s experience in education, which includes at least 10 years of being a Principal in a British or American Top 50 school or 10 years as a Vice Principal in a top British or American School
**Have excellent leadership skills
**Western-trained
**Have an EXCELLENT command of written and spoken English
**Be Tech-Savvy and up to date with modern pedagogy and practice in an international school setting
**Being Bilingual to speak English and Chinese is HIGHLY DESIRABLE

The Head of School will report to the School Board and will be expected to do the following:
**Perform as a leader/mentor/facilitator
**Performs as an educational leader of the school
**Work as the CEO of the school
**Oversee facilities management
**Directs community relations activity
**Develop strategies to grow the school numbers and the quality of education
**Carry out lesson observations and oversee teaching and learning
**Drive and inspire a passion for learning in every member of the school community
**Manage the school on a day to day basis
**Line manage specific staff including members of the Headship team and Senior Leadership Team
**Provide a model of outstanding practice to all staff in teaching and school leadership
**Lead the Senior Leadership Team
**Achieve the School Development Plan and vision to raise standards, improve the quality of teaching for learning and promote a positive ethos
**Ensure that very high expectations of pupil achievement are established throughout the school and secured
**Take responsibility for overseeing the induction of all NQT’s, new staff, supply teachers and develop and implement policies and procedures relating to the above
**Provide a safe, calm and well-ordered environment for all students and staff, focused on safeguarding students and developing their exemplary behaviour in school and in the wider society
**Exercise strategic, curriculum-led financial planning to ensure the equitable deployment of budgets and resources, in the best interests of students’ achievements and the school’s sustainability
**Oversee the recruitment and retention of staff
**Establish rigorous, fair and transparent systems and measures for managing the performance of all staff, addressing any under-performance, supporting staff to improve and valuing excellent practice
**Distribute leadership throughout the organisation, forging teams of colleagues who have distinct roles and responsibilities and hold each other to account for their decision making.

**Demonstrate optimistic personal behavior, positive relationships, and attitudes towards students and staff, and towards parents, governors, and members of the local community.

Remuneration Package

Salary Range:
A salary from 100000 up to 1500000  CNY (Chinese Yuan Renminbi) per annum based on experience and qualification, 15-20% Tax is applied
