The Opportunity
 
I am currently working with an outstanding school in Kuwait who have recently expressed their interest in hiring a school Librarian to join their ever-growing team of talented individuals. My client is seeking an individual with the ability to think analytically and to develop new or revised systems, procedures, and workflow. The successful applicant will take pride in supporting young people’s learning by supporting them with fantastic literature and other resources. The successful applicant will also possess a strong knowledge of the use of computers, the internet, and commercially available library software.
 
Salary Package
 
**TAX FREE up to 800KWD - 1000KWD (£2,013.58 - £2,516.97/$2,643.36 - $3,304) per month based on qualification and experience

The Ideal Candidate:
 
The ideal candidate will appreciate children's literature and other materials available to the students. They will support students become familiar with a range of authors and genres in both print and digital format. Have a firm knowledge and understanding of teacher’s professional duties and the curriculum and be able to guide staff to relevant texts and materials. They will also spend time working with teachers to organise Library sessions and promote the joy of reading for the class.
 
Requirements to Apply:
 
**Bachelor’s Degree in library studies (M.s in library studies is preferable)
**Ideally a years’ experience
**Have an EXCELLENT command of written and spoken English
**Up to date with modern technology
