On behalf of our client we are seeking qualified and experienced teachers of Information Technology.  The ideal candidate will be well experienced in teaching this technical subject and ideally have expertise teaching in the Middle East or students that are mainly ESL.

As a teacher of ICT you will need to meet the following requirements to apply:
  1. Have a degree in an ICT related field e.g. Computer Science
  2. Have a valid state teaching license or teaching qualification in ICT
  3. Have a minimum of 4 years teaching experience
  4. Be a native speaker of English (being able to speak Arabic is beneficial but not essential
  5. Ideally have experience teaching ICT up to high school level
  6. Having experience of teaching the IB ITGS is a bonus
  7. Be trained from a western university
  8. Be up to date with modern teach practise and pedagogy
  9. Have an excellent command of written and spoken English
  10. Ideally have a MYP/DP Workshop certificate or training
  11. Experience of teaching in the Middle East is preferred
  12. Be tech-savvy
  13. Ability to relate positively to young children, parents and staff.
  14. Prefer knowledge of High/Scope curriculum or other evidenced‐based early childhood education curricula.
  15. Demonstrate success in working as a member of a team.
  16. Effective and strong communication skills (orally and written)
  17. Demonstrate an ability to work successfully with community‐based agencies and building partnerships.
  18. Demonstrated supervision skills
    Must have clear criminal record clearance
    Strong computer skills with expertise in Windows‐based programs, such as the Microsoft Office Suite

As an ICT teacher you need to be strong in using MS Windows and ideally have experience doing some computer programming such as Java, C++. If you have an MCSE, CCNA or CCNP it would be beneficial to your  application.

Salary Package
**Salary range, dependent upon years of experience and qualification: 
AED 12,100 to 15,675 per month

ICT Teacher Job Description
  1. Be able to use the school’s schemes of work to provide appropriate teaching and learning for the timetabled classes
  2. Create highly engaging lessons plans for ICT that have the student doing more independant learning
  3. Develop the children’s learning in all aspects of the curriculum
  4. Produce differentiated tasks for able children and those who might require further support
  5. Set appropriate homework tasks and assess all work thoroughly and promptly
  6. Maintain high expectations of discipline and respect in the classoon
  7. Ensure students are safe when working in the ICT room
  8. Maintain an open line of communication with parents to help raise the level of students
  9. Meet with parents as necessary to update them on the progress of their children
  10. Create a dynamic and welcoming learning environment in the ICT room
  11. Further raise the profile of ICT within the school
  12. Prepare suitable teaching resources prior to the lesson
  13. Attend staff training meetings
  14. Attend after school IB workshops
  15. Follow the schools values, mission and ethos
  16. Keep up to date with children's reports
  17. Participate in the system of duty supervision
  18. Attend after-school staff meetings, as required
  19. Attend out of school hours INSET sessions, as required
  20. Support fellow staff in their use of ICT
  21. Participate in the school’s system of extra-curricular activities
  22. Any other reasonable task required by the IB Coordinator
  23. Other duties as assigned.

Salary Range:
A salary from 12375 up to 15,675  AED (UAE Dirham) per month based on experience and qualification, TAX FREE
