SeekTeachers is URGENTLY seeking for a professional and responsible Middle School Director on behalf of our prestigious client in Beijing, China.
This private school has 2 campuses in the city, primary and secondary. Both campuses are well-equipped with the latest technology and necessary supplies to build students’ learning. Extensive extra-curricular programmes are offered to help students build an integrated approach to learning to guarantee students are prepared to play their part in society and pursuing higher level learning. Their approach of instruction is based on the Chinese and American curriculum.
This is a private school with 450 students in the whole school with 100% Chinese students. There are also over 50 well-trained teaching staff in the whole school with over 50% of them are from North America. Staff is continually provided professional development and support in all areas to build forward thinking instructors.
Role and responsibilities:
- Keeps up to date with and informs all staff of Middle School developments and new publications
- Circulates to teachers and students all relevant information
- Contributes to weekly meetings
- Informs the Middle School team about new courses and options in the MS programme
- Liaises with the Deputy Head Curriculum on staff participation at the workshops, registers staff for workshops and keeps track of professional development
- Ensures that students and parents receive guidance concerning the administration of the external exams
- Keeps the Deputy Head Upper School updated on the communication with students and parents
- Contributes to data analysis, e.g. results, internal exam results and student tracking, in this area reporting to the Deputy Head Curriculum
- Supports students with special requirements(illness, exemptions, etc) and communicates the needs
Minimum requirements:
**Bachelor degree and recognised teaching qualification such as PGCE
**Have an experience of working in the Middle School and may have even been an Middle School Director
**An English native speaker
**Excellent team player as well as work individually
**Be able to work under pressure
**Flexible, adaptable and open to learning about new cultures
**Excellent IT skills
**Ambition to develop the Middle School further
