Upper Primary Teacher

SeekTeachers is seeking an experienced Upper Primary teacher to join our client in Beijing, China. Located in the Chaoyang District, the school offers modern, state-of-the-art facilities and currently enrols over 800 students from K–12. The school follows a dual curriculum in its Primary and Lower Secondary divisions, integrating both the Chinese and English curricula. Students in High School then progress to rigorous international programmes such as IGCSE, followed by either A Level or the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme.
Key Responsibilities:
*Plan and deliver engaging, developmentally appropriate lessons across all core subjects (English, Maths, Science, and Humanities) for Grades 4 and 5.
*Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages curiosity, collaboration, and independent learning.
*Assess and monitor student progress, providing regular feedback to support academic and social-emotional growth.
*Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse learning needs and abilities of students.
*Collaborate with colleagues to develop curriculum plans, share best practices, and contribute to school-wide initiatives.
*Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding student progress, achievements, and areas for improvement
Qualifications & Experience
*Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field.
*A recognised teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, QTS, or equivalent).
*Minimum of 2 years’ teaching experience, preferably in international or primary school settings.
*Experience teaching international curricula is preferred.
*Strong classroom management, communication, and organizational skills.
*Ability to differentiate instruction to meet diverse student needs.
*Commitment to fostering a positive, inclusive, and engaging learning environment.
