English Language Art Teacher

SeekTeachers is seeking an experienced English Language Art teacher to join our client in Beijing, China. Located in the Chaoyang District, the school offers modern, state-of-the-art facilities and currently enrols over 800 students from K–12. The school follows a dual curriculum in its Primary and Lower Secondary divisions, integrating both the Chinese and English curricula. Students in High School then progress to rigorous international programmes such as IGCSE, followed by either A Level or the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme.
Key Responsibilities:
*Plan and deliver engaging lessons in reading, writing, speaking, and literature aligned with international curricula such as IGCSE or the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme.
*Develop students’ reading comprehension, critical thinking, and analytical writing skills through a range of literary texts.
*Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback to support academic growth.
*Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages discussion, creativity, and effective communication.
*Prepare students for internal and external examinations and coursework requirements.
*Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum planning, participate in school activities, and engage in professional development.
Qualifications & Experience
*Bachelor’s degree in English, English Literature, Education, or a related field.
*A recognised teaching qualification such as PGCE, QTS, or equivalent.
*Minimum of 2 years’ teaching experience, preferably in an international school setting.
*Experience teaching international curricula such as IGCSE or the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme is preferred.
*Strong knowledge of English language and literature with excellent communication skills.
*Ability to create engaging lessons that support students’ reading, writing, and critical thinking skills.
*A collaborative mindset and willingness to contribute to the wider school community
