About the School
This established IB World School in Wuxi is seeking a caring, energetic, and professionally trained Early Years Teacher to join their vibrant learning community. Position Overview
The successful candidate will create a warm, stimulating, and developmentally appropriate Early Years learning environment that fosters exploration, creativity, and foundational skills. You will work collaboratively with colleagues to design inquiry-based learning experiences that support the whole child—socially, emotionally, physically, and academically.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver child-centered, play-based learning aligned with the IB PYP
- Create a safe, engaging, and inclusive classroom environment
- Develop age-appropriate provocations and inquiry experiences
- Monitor and document children’s developmental progress
- Build strong, positive relationships with children and families
- Collaborate closely with Early Years and PYP team members
- Participate in school events, family engagement sessions, and community activities
- Engage in ongoing professional development and IB training
Requirements
* Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Primary Education or a related field
* Recognized teaching qualification (e.g., BEd, PGCE, state teaching license)
* Minimum 2 years of experience working with KS1 children
* Experience with or interest in the IB PYP
* Strong understanding of early childhood development and play-based learning
* Excellent communication, collaboration, and intercultural skills
* Commitment to safeguarding, wellbeing, and inclusive practices
