Primary Art Teacher

SeekTeachers is seeking an experienced Primary Art teacher to join our client in Beijing, China. Located in the Chaoyang District, the school offers modern, state-of-the-art facilities and currently enrols over 800 students from K–12. The school follows a dual curriculum in its Primary and Lower Secondary divisions, integrating both the Chinese and English curricula. Students in High School then progress to rigorous international programmes such as IGCSE, followed by either A Level or the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme.
Key Responsibilities:
*Plan and deliver engaging art lessons for primary students, fostering creativity, imagination, and self-expression.
*Teach a variety of artistic techniques and mediums, including drawing, painting, sculpture, and digital art.
*Encourage students to explore ideas, experiment with materials, and develop their own artistic voice.
*Integrate cross-curricular learning where appropriate, linking art projects to other subjects and themes.
*Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback and maintaining records of work.
*Create a positive, safe, and inclusive classroom environment that inspires creativity.
*Organize exhibitions, displays, or art showcases to celebrate student work and achievements.
*Collaborate with colleagues on school-wide art initiatives, projects, and events.
Qualifications & Experience
*Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field.
*A recognised teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, QTS, or equivalent).
*Minimum of 2 years’ teaching experience, preferably in international or primary school settings.
*Experience teaching international curricula is preferred.
*Strong classroom management, communication, and organizational skills.
*Ability to differentiate instruction to meet diverse student needs.
*Commitment to fostering a positive, inclusive, and engaging learning environment.
