As of September, many schools will be reopening after the summer holidays and lockdown. The schools will have to take strict measures for the staff and students’ wellbeing, Some student may still continue homeschooling as they may be worried to go back to schools and take things slow. But for those who will be going back to school, life is going to very different than before.

Here are the various changes to look at for:

  1. Social distancing measures to limit the spread of the virus
  2. More breaks to wash hands or use hand sanitizers
  3. Spaced out classrooms, less teamwork
  4. Use of face masks when necessary
  5. Fewer students per classroom to avoid contact
  6. Large gathering such as assemblies will be avoided
  7. More use of technology and digital to complete
  8. Separating groups at break time, classrooms
  9. Keeping full safety measures
  10. Disinfecting furniture, playgrounds areas, lunch halls, shares areas etc. to minimise the spread

Staff will follow similar rules and ensure everything is regulated and inspected properly to create a safe learning space for all.

If one does follow ill or has symptoms, they will have to self-isolate and quarantine. They will refer to their health protection team to decide what’s best to do. Testing will have to be carried out to ensure one does not have the virus as have to keep a safe environment for all.

Full cleaning will be carried out continuously to ensure cleanliness, disinfecting and everyone will be encouraged to frequently wash their hands. Shared equipment, books, technology will need to be clean regularly and students will be encouraged to not share their resources and equipment with others to limit the spread.
