The Abu Dhabi Education Council (ADEC) continues its quest for raising standards in education by launching an internal excellent award programme to respect outstanding performance of employees and divisions.
His Highness General Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi, Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces and Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Executive Council recently launched programmes of excellence awards at each Abu Dhabi government entity and to support this vision, ADEC introduced its programme.
The aim of the award is increase and recognise high achieving performance across ADEC’s sectors and divisions. ADEC wants to raise competency of employees by reviewing and rewarding best practise in delivering a high quality service and promoting a culture of quality so that ADEC is providing a better service in the education sector.
The Award will follow similar standards of Abu Dhabi Award for Excellence in Government Performance (ADAEP) accredited by The European Foundation for Quality Management (EFQM). The award will include: individuals, projects and divisions.
ADEC’s Director General Dr AmAl-Al-Qubaisi said that the award will help raise international standards, increase motivation amongst staff, create more competition between employees and enhance performance. Through hard work, perseverance, diligence and persistence ADEC wants to rewards those that deserve recognition.
ADECâ€™s Excellence Award comes in line with the Abu Dhabi aiming to achieve the goals of 2030 vision. Education is a key driver in ensuring the standards in Abu Dhabi and the UAE will allow for more expertise to be recruited within the country and to rely less on expatriate staffing. Education is a key component in ensuring being able to achieve the prudent leadershipâ€™s vision and aspirations to transform UAE into a widely- known global economic hub.
ADEC has come a long way since the reform project and is continuously striving to raise awareness and also raise standards in education.
