We are urgently seeking an experienced and outstanding leader on behalf of our client in Cairo. 
 
This is a relatively young school that follows the English National Curriculum from Early Years to Senior School. The school prides themselves on delivering the finest British education priotising academic achievement focussed on the needs of the individual learner. By concentrating upon educating and developing the whole child, the school builds character, confidence, and social competence. 
 
The Deputy Head (Academic & Curriculum) is responsible to the Head for all academic matters. He or she is responsible for ensuring the highest standards of teaching, learning and academic attainment across the school. 
 
An ideal candidate should have:
**Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
**Undergraduate degree in related field plus appropriate post-graduate educational qualifications 
(teaching certificate, Master’s degree etc.)
**Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in schools
**Evidence of successfully leading and managing change, ideally at a strategic level 
**A good awareness of recent trends in curriculum content, aims, objectives and assessment 
**Outstanding time management, problem-solving and organisational skills 
**A track record of success in running an academic department within one of more good schools is highlym desirable

Qualification:
Minimum Qualification Requirement: M.Ed, B.Ed or a relevant Bachelor's Degree with a Teaching Qualification
Experience:

Must be western trained (USA, Canada, UK, Scotland, Ireland, Australia, New Zealand & South Africa)
Must be a native speaker of English
Prefer candidates with international experience
Teachers with a degree but no teaching qualification are NOT accepted
Experienced teachers with no qualification are NOT accepted
Non-western trained teachers who have worked in an international educational institute before are NOT accepted
