This is a relatively young school that follows the English National Curriculum from Early Years to Senior School. The Deputy Head (Academic & Curriculum) is responsible to the Head for all academic matters. He or she is responsible for ensuring the highest standards of teaching, learning and academic attainment across the school.
An ideal candidate should have:
**Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
**Undergraduate degree in related field plus appropriate post-graduate educational qualifications
(teaching certificate, Master’s degree etc.)
**Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in schools
**Evidence of successfully leading and managing change, ideally at a strategic level
**A good awareness of recent trends in curriculum content, aims, objectives and assessment
**Outstanding time management, problem-solving and organisational skills
**A track record of success in running an academic department within one of more good schools is highlym desirable
