Curriculum Planner/Consultant needed in Saudi Arabia | International School | August 2020

My client is a USA Common Core school that is accredited by AdvancED. It was open in 2004 with the scope of providing an international education to Saudi students.  The school is going through some major changes and now looking for an experienced curriculum designer that can help the school modify the existing curriculum to meet the needs of the learners as well as the MOE. 
 
You will work closely with the Principal and the Academic Advisor to edit and develop the existing countrystandards so that students can understanding what is expected of them. The role will require you to go through each department and work with the teachers and Heads of Department to help construct a curriculum which is in-line with the schools vision, mission and ethos
 
The ideal candidate will have solid experience of the USA Common Core and ideally have done a similar role in  the GCC region.  You will be required to plan and develop for mainly English, Maths and Science.
 
Requirements to apply
  1. Degree in English, maths or science
  2. A valid teaching qualification e.g. valid teaching license or PGCE etc
  3. Ideally an M.Ed
  4. A minimum of 10 years in education, ideally in a similar role.
  5. Experience of leading in the GCC is beneficial
  6. Western trained
  7. A high command of written and spoken English
  8. Up to date with modern pedagogy

Newly Qualified Teachers are NOT considered
Prefer candidates with international experience
Open University qualification(s) are NOT accepted
Experienced teachers with no qualification are NOT accepted
Additional:
**Must have experience of being a Curriculum Developer ideally in the GCC
**Having a Master's is beneficial
**Experience of teaching in the Middle East is beneficial to your application
**If you have experience of working in an Islamic environment/students is beneficial for you

Remuneration Package

Salary Range:
Salary is negotiable based on experience and qualification, TAX FREE
