Candidates are expected to perform the following job responsibilities listed below:

Teach Chinese language to students according to school policies
-
Develop interactive instructional programs to engage students in learning process.

Prepare instruction materials based on student learning styles and interests.
-
Update course materials based on changing curriculum plan.
-
Maintain student attendance and academic records.
-
Create structured, positive, and learning environment for students.
-
Communicate professionally with parents regarding their children’s performance.
-
Participate in staff meetings, conferences, workshops, school committees and team teachings.
-
Monitor student’s academic performance and provide feedback to improve student learning and developmental skills.

Maintain strong and positive working relationships with students, parents and other teaching staffs.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree in relevant areas, e.g. Chinese or other languages, linguistics or education
At least one year’s experience of teaching Chinese informal school context abroad
Desirable:
-
Master’s Degree in relevant areas
-
Certificate for International Chinese Language Teachers, Issued by Confucius Institute Headquarters/Hanban
Language:
-
Excellent English (fluency in listening, speaking, reading and writing)
-
Excellent Chinese language proficiency with Certificate of Standard Chinese Proficiency Test (2.1 or above, )
NB: Fresh graduates are welcome to apply and will be able to join the MOE Teacher Training Program (TTP)
Have an EXCELLENT command of written and spoken English
Candidates that do not have a high command of English will require an IELTS level 7 Academic to qualify
Educated from a recognized university
Up to date with the modern teaching pedagogy
