SeekTeachers is looking for a housemaster/housemistress on behalf of our client in China. The position is for February 2020 start and located in Chengdu, China.
Our client is one of the leading bilingual school in China offering a bilingual immersion Chinese and English learning environment in from Early Years to High school. The school is an IB World School authorised and a candidate for the IBPYP, MYP and DP programmes.
The school has been established for over 20 years and committed to provide an outstanding quality English/Chinese bilingual programme to its students. The school also encourage their students to develop as thinkers and individuals by providing an engaging, supportive and stimulating learning environment.
Role and responsibilities:
**Responsible for the effective supervision of the pupils in their care at all times
**Plan, implement and review structures of staff supervision to ensure safety of the pupils at all times
**Keeping records relating to pupil progress, welfare, health, emotional problems, achievements and misconduct
**Attend relevant meetings such as Houses Meetings, Parents meetings and other school functions
**Ensure all members of the boarding team are familiar with the School's policies and procedures
**Ascertain where pupils are going at half term and end of term and lists must be given to the Headmaster
**Liaise with the relevant staff to ensure that pupil's clothes and personal belongings are used appropriately and stored securely and tidily
**Responsible for overseeing the health of pupils and encourage a healthy lifestyle
Chengdu is the largest city of Sichuan Province in China. This city has a laid-back culture and relaxes the environment, this is the city is one of the most livable cities in China. Metro station is an only 1-minute walk from the school and it is surrounded by exclusive residential block.
