Math Graduate Teachers are provided with specialised training that will prepare them for teaching from Grades 1 to 12 in the UAE context. Math Graduates will work in teams, led by Lead Teachers and supported by a Sector Specialist, with each member contributing to the continuous improvement of teaching and learning materials and support for students. You will teach at the end of the course as a full time teacher.
Math Graduate Teachers are required to:

Work extra hours to provide extra-curricular activities

Travel as required to events, training and provide cover away from their school

Be smart and present a positive image of themselves and the English Medium Department at all times
Math Graduate Teachers should be able to:

Integrate with colleagues from different cultures

Perform all aspects of their role with an understanding of the wider strategy

Plan effectively and manage their workload

Operate in arduous weather conditions (hot)

Gain the confidence and respect of Emirati personnel at all levels
Math Graduates should possess:

Maturity, intelligence, energy and a good sense of humour & Diplomacy and tact

Strong interpersonal skills

Excellent communication skills both written and verbal

Minimum requirements:

Bachelor’s Degree in Math, Engineering or Physics Language:

Excellent oral and written English is essential.
The following proficiency certificates are accepted and must be presented within 6 months of arriving in the UAE:

IELTS 7 Academic / 7.5 General (with a minimum of 6.5 in each skill)
Extra information
Math Graduate Teachers are required to undertake a programme of learning which will equip them with the necessary competences to ensure the high quality of learning and teaching required by the MoE.
The programme consists of classroom taught modules, online self-study and in-classroom review and assessment. Successful engagement with the programme, including meeting all the assessment requirements is required to progress from graduate to a teacher.
Graduates must pass all modules to continue in employment.
Please note that locations are given on successful completion of the course and candidates should be ready to teach in any emirate in the UAE, any gender or age level depending on how the team determine during the training. There is a pass and fail during the course and those who do not pass may not continue as a teacher.
