I am recruiting 1 IGCSE Music Teacher for a well-established Bilingual School in Shanghai. The ideal candidate should be able to relocate to China next academic year, August 2019 Start. 
 
Salary and Benefits:

The school is a non-profit private institution founded in 2007 with over 1200 students from China and overseas, the school offers a unique Year 1-12 educational programme that integrates elements of Shanghai and international curricula, culminating in Years 9-12 with the IGCSE and IB Diploma programmes, both of which are complemented by core components of the Shanghai curriculum.
 
Brief description of the role: 
**Teach according to the class schedule developed by the Dean of Secondary Academic Affairs
**Be responsible for the full delivery of the Academic Affairs in the related subject area and complete all the administrative and teaching duties to ensure students' learning developement
**Supervise and/or lead co-curricular activities during the afternoon time
**Pastoral: the teacher will be expected to advise a group of students during the school year, meet the students on a regular basis and lead pastoral program with them

Shanghai is one of the most prosperous and cosmopolitan cities in China with an estimated population of over 24 million. The city is mixed with the rich heritage of ancient historic Chinese culture and landmark as well as the growing Pudong Skyline makes the city a modern and thriving environment. The main language is Mandarin and although English is not widely spoken, most street signs and maps are usually written in both English and Chinese which makes it very easy for foreigners to navigate the city. 
 
In order to apply the ideal candidate needs to meet the following requirements:
**Bachelor's Degree in Music or related field
**Valid teaching certification is mandatory (PGCE, QTS)
**Native English Speacker
**3+ years' experience in educational industry
**Experience working in an International School is a plus
**Experience supervising afternoon activities
**Experience partecipating in pastoral program
