Head of Drama needed for an outstanding British School in Kenya! Well-established International School + competitive salary package!
 
Our client is one of the leading International school in the country and has been established for more than 45 years catering for children from 18 months to 18 years old. The school follows the British curriculum and is fully accredited by COBIS, CIE and ISI. 
 
Requirements to apply:  
**Have a bachelor degree or above in Drama or relevant subject
**Have a valid teaching qualification  
**Have a min of two years experience in a similar role
**Have a min of five years solid teaching experience up to A Level 
**International experience is preferred but not essential 
**Deep understanding of the statutory curriculum requirements for the subject and the requirements for assessment recording and reporting
**Strong interpersonal and leadership skills

Responsibilities and duties:
**Deliver the curriculum through the scheduled teaching programme for the required subject 
**Assess and record students progress 
**Develop teaching and assessment resources 
**Prepare reports and participate in parental consultations 
**Work collaboratively with colleagues with the aim of promoting and securing rapid progress for students throughout the school
**Integrate technology within the classroom environment
**Participate in extracurricular activities  
**Actively promote and safeguard the welfare of children
**Liaise with student counsellors and communicate progress to school management

Qualification:
Minimum Qualification Requirement: M.Ed, B.Ed or a relevant Bachelor's Degree with a Teaching Qualification

Non-western trained teachers who have worked in an international educational institute before are NOT accepted

Salary is negotiable based on experience and qualification, 20-35% Tax is applied
