SeekTeachers is looking for a PYP Coordinator on behalf of our client in China to start in August 2019. Our client is an established private international school in China, this particular branch is under a group of an education organization.
This school offers International Baccalaureate PYP, MYP and DP to students from 3 to 18 years old. The school supports learners on a beautiful campus with various resources are available to assist students' success.
**Bachelor Degree or above in Education/ relevant subject
**Teaching qualification (PGCE/PGDE/QTS/GDT/Teaching License)
**Fluent or native English speaker
**Experience of IBPYP curriculum
**Strong ICT skills and evidence of integration of ICT within classrooms instruction
**Demonstrated commitment to on-going professional learning
Duties and responsibilities:
**Work with the School Principal to ensure that at all times the school’s curriculum provides a safe and supportive learning environment
**Coordinate all IBPYP activities
**Ensure that the school meets all IB regulations and deadlines
**Contribute to marketing the IB PYP program, within and outside the school
**Ensure regular monitoring of students’ progress in their IBPYP subjects, keeping appropriate records
**Keep parents informed about their children's progress
**Meet with parents and students to promote and explain the IBPYP
**Prepare effectively for any evaluation visits
**Participates with the administration to develop a continuous improvement plan for both the individual teacher and the school
**Work closely with the whole school principal in the day-to-day management of the Elementary School
The work week consists of 38 hours a week and staff get approximately 70 holidays per year. Continuing professional development is provided to ensure staff success and promotion of high-quality learning. Extensive extra-curricular programmes are offered to help students build an integrated approach to learning to guarantee students are prepared to play their part in society and pursuing a higher level of learning.
