On behalf of my prestigious client, I am looking to recruit a PYP Coordinator to join my client in January 2019.
 
This independent school delivers the National Curriculum of England and Wales to young children from Nursery up to Secondary school. The SLT Team is now looking for a strong and experienced PYP Coordinator to relocate to Barcelona next academic year and join the Schoool Leadership Team in an expanding IB School. 
 
The ideal candidate will have to meet the following requirements:
  • Degree in Education OR 
  • Teaching qualification in Minimum two years experience 
  • Experience in the International Baccalaureate is a must - PYP experience
  • MUST HOLD AND EUROPEAN PASSPORT - NO Visa will be provided 
  • Ability to teach Chemistry up to A Level 
  • Ability to adapt to a different culture 
  • Ability to use ICT in the classroom 
  • Serious and committed teachers only to apply

Remuneration package:

Job duties: 
• Maintaining and implementing the school mission statement
• Formulating policy for approval by the Board and its presentation to staff, students and the community
• Prepare and submit any documentation for authorization and evaluation
• Assisting in the smooth running of the school from day to day
• Substitute in classes on an as need basis
• Sharing responsibility for the conduct and discipline of students
• Provide staff, students, parents and other schools with comprehensive and up to date information on the IB Primary Years Programme, its philosophy, aims and requirements 
• Stimulate, motivate and monitor the implementation of the IB PYP in the school
• Support the school’s evaluation processes and assist the Principal with the evaluation of curriculum and programme by the IBO
• Updating and maintenance of all curriculum documents
• Ensure that all curriculum materials are returned and up to date at the end of the school year
• Support the Principal in ordering of materials and supplies
• To support teaching staff in the implementation of their specific duties within a planning and preparation, classroom environment, instruction and professional responsibilities
•   Carry out other duties as requested by the Director or Primary Principal
• Meet with teachers regularly to assist in planning, collaboration, assessment practices and continuity of the programme
• Meet regularly with Subject Leaders in Primary school
• Develop a programme of inquiry. Including assisting teams and individuals in developing units of inquiry

Minimum Application Requirements

Qualification:
Minimum Qualification Requirement: B.Ed, BA Degree with a relevant PGCE (QTS/GTC/GTP)

Must be a native speaker of English

Open University qualification(s) are NOT accepted
Teachers with a degree but no teaching qualification are NOT accepted
Experienced teachers with no qualification are NOT accepted
Non-western trained teachers who have worked in an international educational institute before are NOT accepted

Remuneration Package

Salary Range:
A salary from 30000 up to 35000  EUR (Euro) per month based on experience and qualification,

2 years contract renewable on mutual agreement
