SeekTeachers is seeking an experienced and professional Founding Principal on behalf of our client in Guangzhou. China.
This will be a brand new school is scheduled to open in August 2020 and will be a full K-12 school catering for children from aged 2-18. The school is committed to creating a community, which is focused on individual learners, nurturing their gifts and talents and helping them become responsible global citizens and internationally-minded young men and women.
The school will follow a holistic model, which balances academic and co-curricular pursuits with leadership, character and moral development. It will be a community where many nationalities and cultures come together and learn from each other, especially in an international school environment.
Qualifications & Skills:
**Masters degree or above in education or a core degree in subject supported with a relevant teaching certificate
**IB, UK, overseas and international exposure
**Have a min of 15 years working experience in the educational industry
**Experience in British/IB/American school settings is desirable
**Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, as well as cross-cultural management understanding
Role and Responsibilities:
- To become a reflective, strategic leader, mindful of different values and beliefs
- To draw on the complexity of local and global contexts
- Perform as leader/mentor/facilitator
- Perform as the educational leader of the school
- Serve as a chief executive officer of the school
- Oversea staff personnel management
- Oversee facilities management
- Oversee operational budget
- Direct community relations activities
