Head of School role in Abuja | International School | Contact Mouyana
My client is looking for a Headteacher to join this fully accredited British school located in the city of Abuja.
The successful candidate will join be joining the leadership team in September 2018.
This established International school is proudly a non-profit school and welcomes around 800 students each year. The school delivers the Cambridge curriculum and the Nigerian National Curriculum.
Class sizes are small, and students are very keen to learn.
As a Principal, the school is looking for someone that will:
**Deliver the School’s Vision, Mission and Core Values
**Implement the School Development Plan (SDP)
**Is tech-savvy to engage and promote the use of technology throughout the organisation
**Build a strong community spirit within the school
**Maximise the school’s development by identifying future resource requirements
**Periodically review the provision of health, safety and security procedures throughout the school and liaise with appropriate authorities on security matters
**Ensure that systems are in place for monitor and extend pupil progress across the school
**Ensure the implement of the curriculum
**Maintain positive, cooperative and mutually supportive relationship with staff, parents and the community.
**Promote the school including the management of special events to be staged at the school, by the school, or involving students from the school;
**Develop excellent professional relationships with feeder schools, developing strong links with all major international schools in Nigeria and with worldwide higher education establishments
**Perform any duties that are within the scope of employment and certifications, as assigned by the Governing Council and The Board and not otherwise prohibited by law or in conflict with contract.
**Is a problem solver and able to resolve matters in a calm, considerate and unbiased manner.

Requirements:
**BA Degree with a teaching qualification
**Strong leadership knowledge
**Ability to adapt to a different culture
**International experience is preferred
**Has excellent knowledge of collecting and analysing data and using it to promote the most effective learning and outcomes
**Minimum of 3 years' experience as a Headteacher
**International experience is preferred but not essential
**A track record and evidence of demonstrating creative thinking and showing initiative.
**A love of learning and a passion for securing the best outcomes for the children in our care.
