Outside of the major cities, the cost of living in Russia cheaper compared to a western country with food and transportation costing only a fraction of a teacher’s monthly salary. Although the cost of living has increased over the last few years, everyday living costs remain comparably low. With utility expenses, being are cheap, at around 40 USD per month and cable TV and internet connection approx 1,000 RUB, around 25 USD per month. Russia is one of the best to live comfortably and still retain the ability to save a substantial amount of money for yourself.
