I am looking for a strong and adventurous teacher of Spanish with experience in teaching the UK curriculum, to join my prestigious client next academic year.
My client is known as one of the most established British International school in Kenya. It secured its international school status 40 years ago, when it became a member of IAPS joining a conglomerate of British Curriculum schools across the world.
The school offers both the IGCSE and A level at the secondary school but also follows the choice of syllabus in the majority of subject areas.
Delivering the British Curriculum, the school caters for children aged 18 months to young adults aged 18 years. By stimulating each individual’s abilities and talents within an atmosphere of mutual respect, the school aim to ensure Semper Prospice (always looking forward) is a life-long quest.

Requirements to apply:
-PGCE with QTS in MFL in Spanish
-Minimum of three years of stable experience
-Spanish native speaker or excellent level of Spanish
-Strong experience in the UK curriculum
-Exam preparation experience is required
-International experience is preferred
-Deep understanding of the statutory curriculum requirements for the subject and the requirements for assessment recording and reporting
-Experience of teaching the specific subject in secondary school including IGCSE and A level
-Ability to multi-task arid maintain high level of accuracy and attention to detail
-Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
-Excellent oral and written communication and influencing skills
-Ability to maintain confidentiality
- Problem-solving skills and initiative
-Courtesy and professionalism with all stakeholders

Responsibilities and duties:
**Deliver the curriculum through the scheduled teaching programme for the required subject
**Assess and record students progress
**Develop teaching and assessment resources
**Prepare reports and participate in parental consultations
**Work collaboratively with colleagues with the aim of promoting and securing rapid progress for students throughout the school
**Integrate technology within the classroom environment
**Participate to extracurricular activities
**Actively promote and safeguard welfare of children
**Liaise with student counsellors and communicate progress to school management
