Requirements for an ESL Teacher:

Bachelor’s degree
-
A TEFL Certification
-
The ability to obtain a clear background check

The ability to live abroad for at least one year

Applicants must be citizens from the United States, United Kingdom, Canada, Ireland, Australia, New Zealand or South Africa to meet China’s visa regulations
ESL Teacher Responsibilities:
-
Provide work for study hall when a student has not completed assignments, notify Department Chair or relevant staff, and ensure work is graded promptly.

Develop materials and resources, implement, support and/or lead in the production and improvement of curriculum planning as appropriate, and undertake another academic project work as directed.

Ensure lessons are in line with planning and their respective objectives, and that segments of lessons are shared with students, as appropriate.

Provide feedback on materials, courses, and lessons to academic and other managers/colleagues as requested.

Utilize learning spaces and tools effectively (i.e., notice boards, displays).

Must be western trained (USA, Canada, UK, Scotland, Ireland, Australia, New Zealand & South Africa)
Must be a native speaker of English
Newly Qualified Teachers are NOT considered
A Newly Qualified Teachers program is provided
Prefer candidates with international experience
Open University qualification(s) are accepted
Teachers with a degree but no teaching qualification are accepted
Experienced teachers with no qualification are NOT accepted
Non-western trained teachers who have international education experience international educational institute before are accepted
Remuneration Package
Salary Range:
A salary from 16,400 up to 16,400
CNY (Chinese Yuan Renminbi) per month
based on experience and qualification,
15-20% Tax is applied
Housing:
Housing allowance of 4,000
CNY (Chinese Yuan Renminbi) provided
Flights:
8,000 CNY (Chinese Yuan Renminbi)
Allowance is provided
Bereavement Leave:
Bereavement leave given
Emergency Evacuation:
Emergency evacuation given
Contract Length:
1 year contract renewable on mutual agreement
