THE COUNTRY: TEACHING AND LIVING IN THE UAE
The United Arab Emirates (UAE) is a federation of seven states that has grown from a quiet backwater to one of the Middle East's most important economic centres.
The combination of international influences and a strong commitment to local heritage has created an intriguing mix of new and old.
The official language is Arabic. Among the immigrant population, English, Hindi, Urdu, Farsi, and Filipino are spoken. English is the language of commerce.
Emiratis are known for their hospitality; they feel honoured when receiving guests and socializing with friends and relatives.
Now visitors to the Emirates are being encouraged to take a step back thousands of years into the past, with the opening up of the country’s first Unesco World Heritage site to visitors. The Al Ain Oasis – in Al Ain –The 3000-acre site is filled with more than 147,000 date palms, many of which are still part of working farms.
If you are working in any other country in the Middle East, you can attend local interview in Sharjah (different dates available)
