Background
Founded in 2012, Alruwad International School (AIS) is a private school that is a candidate for the IB Primary Years Programme (IB PYP), IB Middle Years Programme (IB MYP) and the IB Diploma Programme (IB DP). Located in beautiful Muscat, Oman AIS offers an International program of study as well as the Omani Ministry of Education program for Arabic, Islamic Studies and Social Studies. Our curriculum emphasizes inquiry, stimulates curiosity, and fosters comprehension and creativity. Students at AIS acquire and practice strong leadership skills and develop a sense of global responsibility. AIS believes in contributing to the development of the whole child. Our school-wide character development framework, R.E.A.C.H, is at the centre of everything we do! Our aim is to inspire all members of the AIS community to reach their greatest potential inside and outside of the classroom through the intentional development of Respect, Empathy, Action, Cooperation and Honesty. Along with academics, physical wellness is given importance at AIS. A range of facilities are made available to students: an outdoor and indoor grassy field, an indoor playground, a gymnasium, multipurpose hall, 2 swimming pools, 2 computer labs, 2 libraries, a science, biology and chemistry lab.
