Qatar Foundation (QF) for Education, Science and Community Development is a private, non-profit organization that serves the people of Qatar by supporting and functioning programs in three core mission areas: education, science and research, and community development.
 
Qatar Foundation aims to make beneficial changes in the region to improve the education system for students and to provide exceptional teaching. The key of the foundation is to progress the future of their country to give Qatari citizens with a higher choice in education, health and social development than ever since.
 
QF is founded in 1995 by then-emir Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani and his second wife Moza bint Nasser. In addition to private funding, it is government-supported and in some ways government funded. QF is chaired by Sheikha Moza bint Nasser, has spearheaded Qatar's endeavours to establish itself as a leader in education, science, and cultural development on both, a regional and global scale.
 
Also, QF is involved in several scientific researches; economics and social expansion projects. Sheikha Moza has served as the Vice Chair of the Supreme Council of Health from 2009-2014 and as the Vice Chair of the Supreme Education Council from 2006-2012. During this time, she assisted to achieve a major renovation of Qatar's public institutes and healthcare organizations.
 
Qatar Foundation's earliest accomplishment was Qatar-Academy Doha; and each academy aspires to offer the best academic program to contribute to the circulation of the culture of excellence and innovation. Later it expanded to numerous academies consisting of total 9 following schools as follows:
 
Qatar Academy Msheireb
Established in 2014. Provides well-furnished classrooms with latest technology and resources for independent and group work. Authorised by IB organisation and offers three academic programmes - Primary Years Programme (PYP), Middle Years Programme (MYP) and Diploma Programme.
 
Awsaj Academy
K-12 specialised academy and classrooms fit nine students and one teacher. 100 students increased in 2011 to over 453 students presently. Research-based systems of Response to Intervention (RTI) for academics and Positive Behaviour Intervention and Supports (PBIS). Offers core subjects Arabic, English, Maths and much more.
 
Qatar Academy Al Khor
New campus covers 62,000 squares meter and is based on 525,000 square meters of land to the west of Al Khor and the facilities consist 8 linked buildings over landscaped grounds. Delivers the IB program and offers MYP and DP programs with a bilingual environment at school. QAK Academy opened in September 2008 and now including classes from pre-3 to grade 12 which increased by the years.
 
Qatar Academy Wakra

QAW was founded in 2011 with 220 students enrolling in Pre-K to Grade 2 and the school wants to exceed to one level each year to reach Grade 12 by 2022. The Stunning campus includes outdoor facilities such as a football pitch, basketball court, tennis court and sheltered paly areas. Indoor facilities include bright and large classrooms with SMART boards, gym, IT lab, an art studio and a library consisting of 20,000 English and 10,000 Arabic titles. Seeking candidacy for authorisation with the Council of International Schools (CIS), the New England Association of Schools and Colleges (NEASC) and the International Baccalaureate Middle Years Program (IB MYP).
 
Qatar Academy Sidra
Pre-school to Grade 12; IB World School; PY; MY; Diploma Programmes and Languages & Literature: English, Arabic, Spanish, Mathematics, Science, Art, PE, Islamic studies and more to build knowledge of students and ensure high level of learning is provided. QAS is a candidate for CIS and NEASC accreditation.
 
Qatar Academy Doha
Identified by IB, CIS and NEASC. During 2014-2015 Middle school year was introduced which offered suitable curriculum for students in grades 6-8. Teachers are specifically qualified to teach students in middle grades. MYP is featured at High school, grades 9-10 and offering IB Diploma in grades 11-12 for University education.
 
Qatar Leadership Academy
QLA was established in 2005 and opened mid-way on 28 August, under the leadership of Chairperson H.E Sheikh Joaan Bin Hamad Al Thani and with 48 cadets being greeted by His Highness Sheikh Hamad Bin Khalifa Al Thani, the Father Amir, His Highness Sheikh Tamim Bin Hamad Al Thani, Amir of Qatar and Her Highness Sheikha Moza bint Nasser, Chairperson of Qatar Foundation. By end of second year in summer 2007, 85 students joined and that leaded to school receiving authorisation to offer valued IB Diploma. It was also, accredited by Middle States Associate of College and Schools and has Internationally recognised high school diploma program exceeding IB Diploma.
 
Academic Bridge Program
ABP provides high school graduates with academic and personal skills for achievement in trustworthy English language Universities around the world. It offers a demanding two-semester general studies American curriculum that focuses on English, math, science and computer skills. Students are placed in classes depending on their ability to make sure they are challenged and improve and shift smoothly to university. IELTS and ACT are also offered to help ABP students to maximise their standard test scores. The Academic Bridge Program is neither a school nor a university; it is a unique educational model that “bridges” these two very different environments. ABP has nurtured agreements and Memorandum of Understanding (MoUs) with approximately 20 universities in the UK, the US and Germany and has received full endorsement from the Commission on English Language Accreditation (CEA) in the United States, in 2011.

Vision: Engage, Educate and Inspire.
Mission Statement: to inspire children with Autism Spectrum Disorder to increase their full potential, educating the community and appealing their families. QF has opened a new centre for ASD students for the 2016-17 school year to encourage students and families affected by the disability. It will offer education for students aged 3-21 experience mild-moderate ASD. This will support their needs, help them succeed in life and provide them with correct training; therapy to strengthen their skills and them as a person.
