Description

Our client is looking for an experienced English teacher (2 yrs. minimum) who is Western trained with a bachelor’s degree in English and a teaching certification to teach the IB Curriculum in a bilingual Arabic-English school. The school also prefers candidates that have experience of the USA Common Core Standards. The school uses the 21st century model skills to foster confidence and cooperative learning amongst students. The school is located in Abu Dhabi with an active student body of 2000 students and a demographic of 90% Emirati local children.
 
Duties include but not limited to:
**Writing and implementing weekly and daily lesson plans for each grade level
**Creating and conducting daily, weekly, monthly and quarterly formative and summative assessments in reading, writing, listening and speaking
**Keep on top of all grading and marking and enter comments and grade onto excel and other teaching systems as required
**Assign homework assignments and projects and grade and return within a reasonable time
**Assist the SEN teacher in the creation of IEP’s for students of different levels and keep track of intervention methods for students at risk.
**Differentiate student learning and assign activities according to student’s ability and task level
**Implement the use of technology in every lesson
**Expected to act as a lunch time and recess duty officer when requested and on rotation with staff
**Meet and contact parents regularly to discuss the progress of students

Remuneration Package

Salary Range:
A salary from 12000 up to 14800   AED (UAE Dirham) per month based on experience and qualification, TAX FREE
