Description

SeektTeachers is seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic secondary Geography teacher for our client.  This is a permanent position based in Malaysia.  This international school follows British national curriculum and currently catering for 500 students from Year 1 to Year 11.
 
Requirements:
 
**Bachelor degree or above in Geography/relevant subject
**Minimum 3 years of teaching experience
**Excellent understanding of UK national curriculum
**Excellent fluent or native English speakers
**International experience is beneficial
**Good team player
**Perform well under pressure
**Flexible and adapt to new culture easily
 
Duties and Responsibilities:
 
- Plan, prepare motivational lessons to inspire to students
- Differentiate lessons to meet the needs of students
- Ensure curriculum is implemented and up to date
- Monitor, assess and record student learning progress
- Make good use of AfL and APP
- Maintain classroom discipline align with school policies
- Supervise in-school and after school activities
- Communicate with parents regarding their child’s progress and participate in parents’ meeting
- Participate in professional development activities
- Participate in department/school meetings

Minimum Application Requirements

Qualification:
Minimum Qualification Requirement: M.Ed, B.Ed or a relevant Bachelor's Degree with a Teaching Qualification
Experience:
2 Years

Must be western trained (USA, Canada, UK, Scotland, Ireland, Australia, New Zealand & South Africa)
Must be a native speaker of English
Prefer candidates with international experience
Teachers with a degree but no teaching qualification are NOT accepted
Experienced teachers with no qualification are NOT accepted
Non-western trained teachers who have worked in an international educational institute before are NOT accepted

Remuneration Package

Salary Range:
A salary from 7,000 up to 9,000  MYR (Malaysian Ringgit) per month based on experience and qualification, 10-25 % Tax is applied
Housing:
Housing allowance of RM1,500   MYR (Malaysian Ringgit) provided
Medical:
State/Public medical provided

Flight(s) provided
Bereavement Leave:

Contract Length:
2 years contract renewable on mutual agreement
