We are urgently looking for an experienced Librarian to work at the Primary campus of one of our leading clients in Qatar. The school is a very well established school catering for Qatari students. It delivers the UK National Curriculum of England and Wales with the majority of teachers being QTS holders. As a well seasoned Librarian you will be expected to:
**Prepare, organised and manage the day to day running of the Primary Library
**Supervising students in their work
**Carrying out clerical duties including: Filing, shelving, repairs, issuing and recovery of stock
**Create a positive, calm and quiet learning environment
**Ensure software on PC's is up to date
**Catalogue and index books
**Work with teachers to sure there is plenty of independent learning taking place
**Be in touch with the curriculum being delivered and promote books accordingly for students to research and use
**Maintain book and non book resources
**Provide training where necessary so that teachers bringing a class in are also aware of procedures and protocols in the library
To apply you should have a relevant degree in Library Management or equivalent. Having a Masters is beneficial to your application. We are looking for someone to start IMMEDIATELY so an interview can be arranged for the right person very soon. You should ideally have experience of being a Library Manager for 2 or more years.
